Cocktail Party Planning Done Right!

Cocktail Party Planning Done Right! The last guest has finally arrived and with little time to spare. Break Neck Joe is telling another one of his gut wrenching jokes and has the guests in stitches. The laughter can easily be heard from the studio next store. The large manager rushes quickly to grab a cocktail and joins the crowing crowd. The host grins, sets down his drink and walks casually into the kitchen. The cocktail party has gone way better than he might have was hoping. The drinks have been flowing without end and the appetiser dish has been a major success. The guests have all been having a terrific time and there were no arguments. Once the kitchen door quietly shuts, the host opens his mouth and thanks his lucky stars. He knows without the correct cocktail party planning his target of entertaining his boss and work-mates would have finally ended in failure. The specified raise would’ve been nothing more than a wishful dream. Now his boss recollects his name without stuttering and his work mates will be raving over this cocktail party for weeks. With a moment to reflect, he closes his eyes and recalls the plan.

It commenced simply enough. It all started with an idea for a party. The dreaming soon took control of. He dreamed himself surrounded by hordes of beautiful girls in poorly lit rooms with hardly enough elbow space to lift his drink to his mouth. It was downright nirvana. They all giggled at his jokes and showered kisses on him for no reason. Then naturally he awoke to the mean realisation that his dreaming was not helping him disentangle the issue of trying to decide the simple way to correctly conduct the particular cocktail party planning. It was then he decided to take action. He searched online and this is what he uncovered.

Cocktail party planning has many of the key ingredients as does other parties. It’s a social gathering where drinks, food and conversation can be discovered. The difference is at cocktail evenings a great spread of drinks are to be served.

The best way to begin with your cocktail party planning is by creating a tick list. This can be used to list everyone you invite, all you need, purchase and budget limits. By creating a checklist you will be taking the first important step in having a successful party.

Once you have your tick list laid out in front of you start jotting down the people you intend on inviting. At drinks parties it is usually a good idea ( if at all possible ) to limit the quantity of folks by selecting those whom you know to get along. At large parties it is much easier for people to get lost in the crowd whereas at smaller functions, i.e. Cocktail evenings, those self same people might end up in an unpleasant conversation, causing discussion. Naturally this could occur at any party, but the last thing you want for your party is for a discussion to destroy its winning atmosphere. Select your guest list sensibly.

Do you have any bar tendering skills? This is an important question worth asking yourself if you are going to be hosting a cocktail party. If that is so you will still need to back out of the job, and why not, there are more vital things you need to do as host, but at drinks parties this is its reason for being. Drinks are going to be served and if you aren’t going to be doing it who will? You can always hire a bartender for the evening or have a buddy over who enjoys one or two good laughs while pouring drinks. If you’ve a large house it might be a good idea to hire, but if you have a small house or apartment then you need to seriously consider mixing the cocktails yourself. With limited space folk are far more inclined to stay within just a few strides of the bar, therefore making the barkeeper the centre of attention. As host this will give you more control over the conversation and would strengthen your status amongst your visitors.

A few more things you must do is consider your menu, prep and clean the party rooms, take care when decorating and do all of this before the day or night of the party. The most important thing is your guest list and the bar tendering. The rest should be handled accordingly and join your checklist. If all is done well, and the music is ideal then maybe somebody at your party will take up the role of Break Neck Joe and have the place in stitches.
